Butane artist/chef torches are often used to remove bubbles that may form in resin as it begins to cure – otherwise, these bubbles will cure into the finished piece. The flame from the torch heats the resin, thinning it and allowing the bubbles to escape. A heat gun may be used as well – but may make it harder to direct the heat precisely where you want it to go.
